BRIE STONER
Brie Stoner is a creative code-switcher who makes music for those who've never belonged to just one place. Raised in Madrid, Spain, and now based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she channels her multilingual life into indie dream-rock that feels both intimately personal and impossibly vast.
Her upcoming LP "Matador" (releasing May 8, 2026) is a California-themed love letter, lush and cinematic, featuring orchestral arrangements by acclaimed arranger Kelly Pratt (St Vincent, Beck, and Beirut) and produced by David Vandervelde (Father John Misty). The album weaves strings, woodwinds, and horns through Stoner's poetic storytelling, creating an intimate portrait of artistic endurance, perseverance, motherhood, and the quiet act of creating beauty when the world feels uncertain. Stoner's new album proves that the best art comes from moving between languages and landscapes.
Brie Stoner's single "Like a Man" was featured in *Yellowjackets*; her song "Hungry" was featured again by Ralph Lauren, she toured the East Coast/Midwest with Certainly So, and her debut book "Turned On" hit #1 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases (Sacred Sexuality). Recent press includes features in Spin Magazine, Under The Radar, Magnet Magazine, Atwood Magazine, and Gritty In Pink (Cover Feature).
