Los Angeles band Wednesday Week returns with its original classic lineup—sisters Kristi and Kelly Callan (vocals, guitar, drums), Heidi Rodewald (bass), and David Nolte (lead guitar)—for an October 2026 four-song covers EP on Label 51 Recordings, produced by Don Dixon.

Emerging from the early-’80s Paisley Underground scene, the group gained critical acclaim with their 1983 debut EP Betsy’s House before releasing their celebrated 1987 album What We Had (Enigma), also produced by Dixon. The band toured widely across North America and appeared on MTV’s 120 Minutes and The Arsenio Hall Show.

Following years of individual success—including Rodewald’s Tony nomination for Passing Strange—the original foursome reunited to record with Dixon just prior to the March 2020 shutdown. Wednesday Week will tour the U.S. in late 2026, followed by U.K. dates in spring 2027 alongside a 40th-anniversary Record Store Day reissue of What We Had featuring unreleased archive tracks.
